The capital city, Belgrade, has regular and direct bus (BAS tourist) and rail (Serbian Railways) connections with all parts of Serbia and capital cities in Central and Eastern Europe. Both rail and bus stations are in the proximity of the city center.

Nationals from UN Member States with which Serbia has no diplomatic relations need visas to enter the country, except for holders of foreign passports that have a valid visa or residence permit for the Schengen area, European Union or United States of America.

Participants who require visas should apply using the ICSW 2019 visa application procedure before 1 March.

The ICSW team will liaise with Serbian Immigration officials to facilitate your visa application after your registration has been approved and the registration fees have been paid.

All ICSW 2019 events will take place within 500m of each other in the Belgrade city centre, near public institutions and cultural and historical monuments including Nikola Pasic Square, the Parliament of Serbia, the Assembly of the City of Belgrade and Hotel Moskva.

Belgrade Youth Centre provides a center for diverse multimedia events dedicated to young people and will serve as the primary venue for ICSW 2019 events sessions.
Impact Hub Belgrade supports entrepreneurs to address social and economic challenges and will provide additional space for concurrent event sessions.
Human Rights House supports civil society and focuses on economic and social rights, discrimination, hate crime, minority issues, and access to justice and will open its doors for ICSW 2019 side events.

Museum of Yugoslavia

The Museum of Yugoslavia is a public history museum in Belgrade. It chronicles the period of Kingdom of Yugoslavia and Socialist Yugoslavia as well as the life of Josip Broz Tito.

Nikola Tesla Museum

The Nikola Tesla Museum is dedicated to honoring and displaying the life and work of Nikola Tesla. The museum is located in the central area of Belgrade.

Museum of Applied Arts

The Museum of Applied Art in Belgrad contains over 37,000 works of applied art, which reflect the development of applied art over a 2,400 year span. The oldest artifacts of the museum are Ancient Greek coins from the 4th century BC.

Savamala District

Savamala is one of Belgrade’s urban neighbourhoods, located between the central station and the right bank of the Sava River. It is known for its nightlife, street art and creative happenings. This part of the city turned into the first new wave of cultural activity led by freethinkers and cultural initiatives such as KC Grad and Nova Iskra.

Ada Ciganlija 

Named one of Europe’s top ten city islands, the Ada Ciganlija is a river island that has been turned into a peninsula, and is popular among walkers and runners.

Teller Machines (ATMs) accept all major credit cards and are located throughout the city. Major credit cards are accepted at almost all restaurants and stores in Belgrade.
